These are huge animals. I know this because I rode one last year with my oldest son. Have you ever been in the middle of a situation that seemed like a good idea at the time and then in the middle of it you realizw what you are doing and wonder what in the world were you thinking?
When circus elephants are not performing, sometimes they are tethered to a stake in the ground that is attached to one leg. Do you know why one tether can hold such a huge animal?
Because the elephant thinks it can. You see, from birth on, baby elephants are tethered to a stake in the ground. A baby elephant cannot pull out the stake. An adult elephant can, it`s just been conditioned to believe that it cannott.
